Welcome to GPRW

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Wisconsin, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, was founded in June of 2007 by people who had been involved with Pyrs for many years. GPRW is composed of Great Pyrenees enthusiasts who work as volunteers donating time, energy, funds, products, knowledge and services to help Great Pyrenees in need.

GPRW takes in Great Pyrenees dogs who are encountering hard times. Some have been abandoned or neglected. Sometimes an owner has died. Still others are surrendered by loving owners who can no longer care for their dog. We provide care, training and love until “forever homes” are found. GPRW does not refuse or euthanize dogs with medical needs, provided appropriate medical care can enhance their quality of life. Priority is given to dogs from Wisconsin, but assistance is given to dogs from other areas whenever possible.

FEATURED DOGS: Kodiak and Kenai
Kodiak and Kenai are our most recent addition at GPRW through no fault of their own. Sadly, their owner is experiencing a serious illness and could no longer care for them. They are wonderful in the house, love children, and just turned six in June. Open your home to this beautiful sister and brother!

We are filled to capacity at Great Pyrenees Rescue of WI - If you have been considering a Pyr, please contact us soon!
