OUR FEATURED GREAT PYRENEES

meet ava and jax!

If you have a fenced yard, room in your home and heart please consider adopting Ava and Jax.

These two beautiful Pyrs are Ava and Jax. They are a 7-year-old bonded pair. Bonded meaning they WILL BE PLACED TOGETHER.

They are house dogs. They are not trained to be LGDs and will not be placed as LGDs. What they are is loving companions.

Jax is healthy. Ava has issues with her back leg. We have her on anti- inflammatory meds as well as pain pills when needed. She is also dieting.

Because of the meds she needs we are willing to place both dogs as fosters or permanent fosters so we can resume paying for her meds or whatever she needs as long as she needs and are willing to put this promise in writing.

Our hope is that while we may pay vet costs, they can spend their remaining days with you!!

The dogs need a fenced yard, but it needn’t be huge, and a three foot will do.

If interested in adopting Ava and Jax, and you have a fenced yard please do send us an email at wooflodge@yahoo.com and we will send you an application.

GREAT PYRENEES

HAPPY TAILS

Finding "forever homes" for this Great Breed since 2007.

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Wisconsin, Inc. takes in Great Pyrenees dogs who are encountering hard times.

Some have been abandoned or neglected. Sometimes an owner has died. Others are surrendered by loving owners who can no longer care for their dog.

We provide care, training and love until “forever homes” are found with more than 300 Great Pyrenees placed in forever homes since we began in 2007.

Join us on our journey helping this breed we all adore.

WHY GREAT PYRENEES?

IS GREAT PYRENEES FOR ME?

In many respects, the defining characteristics of the Great Pyrenees can be seen as either positive or negative attributes, depending on your own point of view. One person sees a beautiful, loyal, intelligent, independent, engaged dog, while another sees a huge, shedding, stubborn, noisy liability. Obviously, a Great Pyrenees is not for everyone.

Please contact us to discuss your interest in this complex, magnificent breed. A trip to visit us may help with your “Pyr education”. We enjoy playing matchmaker and are thrilled when we find a dog and a person who meet each other’s expectations.
